I knew about the news when I was about to leave for class so I didn't have much time to sit and write but this is the post that came out in the first place.

I don't think it sinked yet. I left at 15:00 for class and I ended at 22:00 and then I meet some friends... I was distracted by real life... But damn, even if I¡m not involved like I used to and I think I'm more disappointed than sad (and I'm sad).

I would love to write reviews (not exactly reviews, see it more like random ramblings that would make so little sense) for the things I watch but I'm so bad at it & I just end being totally biased but I might try, it would be a great way to actually make me write here & I don't know, do something xD  but I'm a lazy ass when it comes to write so we'll see... 


The Oscars... boring as ever even if it had a few good moments (the movies mix intro, the songs autotune, franco!girl  and that's it, I think. )
I was happy with lead male, lead female & supporting male actor, best adapted script & best animated movie... everything else, I think I was just angry & very annoyed. 
I loved the The Kings Speech but not to win all the stuff It did, but once again it shows that most of voters on the academy are a bunch of old people.
& don't get me started on the lack of Inception (yes, it had technical wins but nothing more).  & hey! I told you that King's Speech would win for best picture...
but well, once again I had a great time in twitter spamming   meanwhile watching it

And the best part (aside Colin winning) was that in the red carpet I was focused on watching who was behind Annette Benning (and I truly love her xD) & I fangirled when I saw Simon ... LOL  Btw, I've been thinking of making a post with his photos... is that weird? I have this tendency that when I fangirl a person I fangirl the whole package (partner, kids, parents if applicable, etc xDDD)  Which explains why I never get the people who are jealous & want their idols to be single (actually , this people annoy the shit out of me XDD) 

I'm rewatcing Sex and The City. Why? not really sure... I was watching pics of Sarah Jessica Parker (& getting so jealous of her dresses & I'm not even a clothes person xDD) & also in a few Willie was there too & then suddenly I missed watching the show (and I never was a big fan, although I liked it xD) I'm almost done with season 1 & i made me realize how many episodes I missed watching on tv xDDD

Hey! if I can spend 120$ in a dvd (crows zero 2) then I can spend 5.50 € in a book cover xDD

Here I'm really torn between Black Swan, Inception,King's Speech & the Social Network (sincerely I would add Toy Story 3 but I doubt it will win best film & best animated film so I let it out)

If I have to pick one would be INCEPTION, but the academy sort of always ignore Nolan (see the best director nominations >.<) so I think KING'S SPEECH will win.

Also I would like to point out that I still have 3 left to see, The Kids are All Right (that I will see in a few hours, it opened on cinemas here yesterday), Winter Bones & The Fighter ( I'll download later the last two & i'll watch before tomorrow night xDD)

COLIN FIRTH :DDDDD I'm still annoyed that he didn't win for A Single man (film that I love) but he will win for this, his work on the King's Speech is beyond amazing (& he won everything else till now)
But hey, if the awesomeness of James Franco wins it, I'l be more than ok with it xD He did a great job in 127 hours & well, did I said that he is awesome? xD

INCEPTION. Write something like this & make sense is an incredible feat xDDDD & I love that film & Nolan deserves at least this.

THE SOCIAL NETWORK. Once again I'm going to repeat myself, the best of this film is the script

I also would like to mention that I LOVED How to Train your Dragon, I really really liked it. But nothing can beat Toy Story 3, nothing.

In previous awards Social Network won, probably will win here too but both films do an amazing job with the music.

· The last 18th January my White Collar 1º season dvdbox came :DDDD Funny enough it was the same day that the show was back on air :D (and with an amazing episode, btw xD)

 

· & BOSS has a second season :DD It's probably the 1º news from Japan in a long time that really made me excited. BOSS became one of my favorite jdramas  & I (and probably most of us)  was waiting for a second season and here it is and with the original cast :D

· Sort of related, lately people started to unfollow me on twitter because I don't fangirl like I used to (or at all) the Japanese fandom, I suppose it was a matter of time it happened. oh well, it's ok & understandable :) Ssurprised it didn't happen here already xD

· SKINS is back. I tried to know as little as possible about the new generation before watching it  & so far, so good. I LOVE Franky. Yes, I know, I'm sure that people that know me is extremely surprised by this /Sarcasm xD What can I say? The only thing is that she isn't even 17 & I find her very pretty ~.~

I really shouldn't be asking for recommendations on books  since yesterday I finished 2 books I had almost done, I have several of my own waiting to be read, the day before yesterday I brought another one, my cousin lent me in xmas 2 big books, my friend lent me another 3 (and I have a few more than I want her to lend me) + all the recommendations I got when I asked about fantasy books xD (and I have at least 3 that I want to buy in play.com xD) But here I am...


Now I wonder if you could recommend me lgbt books. I looked around (a.k.a. googled) & this seems to be a good place to start. From the first list I read 3 (The City and the Pillar by Gore Vidal, Confessions of a Mask by Yukio Mishima & A Single Man by Christopher Isherwood) but any personal recommendation would be appreciated. (And I know this won't have the response that the fantasy books had, if it has any at all xD, since it's something less popular)

› I don't do new years resolutions for Life 1.0 but I do for Life 2.0, which is mostly to post more on lj. So far I'm failing at that xD

› I watched 109 films the last year including films I watched for the first time & the ones I re-watched. Not bad taking in consideration that last year (it still sounds weird, I'm not fully in 2011 yet xD) was the year where I mostly saw tv shows.

From all the films I watched for the 1º time this year the ones that really stand out for me were Amelie, A Single Man, MOON, Memento, Toy Story 3, Inception, Mr Nobody, the Social network, Shortbus, Les amours imaginaires, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, Rent & HOWL(doens't mean they were the only ones I liked, just the ones I loved the most)

Btw, for me The Social Network, Oscar for best script & Inception, Oscar to best direction & best film :D

And from all the stuff I watched there a few that I wish I didn't like for example Clash of Titans, which I watched mostly because Nicholas Hoult is on it & what a waste of 2 hours of my life...

But specially ANTICHRIST... please PLEASE!! take aways certain scenes from my brain ;______;

› The last weeks I started to watch The Good Wife (only 2 eps left to catch up with the winter break  watched them before I finished this entry xD). It's a show I really recommend if you don't have a problem with procedural &/or law shows. I'm loving it & I'm in love with Kalinda & Eli Gold. Kalinda is such a powerful female character (actually all the ladies on the show are), love her personality & she is so damn hot. And Eli Gold is beyond words, no doubt Alan (who I love, and actually was the reason I started to watch the show) was nomitaed for this, he is doing an amazing work :D

Ok, after I came across X-Men 2 movie on tv the other day (and re watched it) I downloaded & watched (/still watching) the 90s xmen cartoon (rewatching since I watched when I was a kid) & Wolverine and the X-Men (also still doing so), re-watching the Wolwerine movie (Gambit <3) & returning to HEROES (which I stopped in episode 3.10 back in the day & I've just finished it, season 4 is waiting... Quinto is the one to blame for my urge to return to it XD) & seeing that I'm about to watch the last Misfit episode I've been thinking about super powers the last few days (can't you blame me? xDDD)

I would love to be able to fly & time traveling.
Fly, being able to travel anywhere in the world on your own accord & not really worrying about plane tickets prices xDDDD  & the freedom that flying can give me...
Time Traveling. If I can't have my own Doctor & travel in the Tardis I, at least, want to have Hiro power xD Imagine all the places  you can visit, the past, the future... Lost civilizations & cultures...

Something that I would never want is immortality, although very tempting, the idea to be still alive while everybody else that I love dies is a big turn off xD


Also, another thing on my head since I started watching Doctor Who, if I could time travel, where I would love to go?
The first things that come to my mind would be:
· Ancient Egypt 
· Ancient Greece.
· Medieval Ages. 
· The 60s & 70s, the hippy, glam, punk periods (usa for the hippies, woodstock included, & UK/London for the rest).
· Concerts: QUEEN, THE DOORS, Janis Joplin and Bowie concert in the Ziggy era...


· Which super powers would you love to have? Would hate to have?
· If The Doctor appeared in your door,  where would you ask him to take you on the TARDIS?

Anyway, before Japan fandom, before anything else, I was a fan of British music & films, something that never died & never stopped loving XD
But somehow I never watched Doctor Who (I still don't understand why ... xD) but finally not so long ago I decided to start watching it  & for the photos above you can imagine the effect it had on me LOL xD

· The other day checking the release sites I found Les amours imaginaries, the trailer caught my attention so I downloaded it. Yesterday finally subs appeared :)

And god, the film is beautiful. Not perfect, for example I felt like he abuses a little too much the slow-mo scenes which makes the film a bit slow, but when you see it, you forget about those things, because it's so beautifully filmed & the actors are great on it. I also really liked the 'in between' moments with the random people talking :)

The other day tinyangl linked to Mark Reads Harry Potter blog & I can't be more thankful. It was just when I was in a middle of a Harry Potter films rewatching marathon & was thinking of read again the last book... Reading him is amazing. It's like reading the book for the 1º time & remembering all they made you feel :) Don't you have sometimes the wish of being able to read or watch something for the 1º time again, just to revive the original feeling? (btw, list of reviews http://bit.ly/MRHPlist )

& now about the last book. I normally re-read the books before the films & decided do the same this time. Oh man, this book is still so dark & it still made me cry so much :/ Btw, already finished it :) (& I think that my fave book is still the 3º :D)

Btw, yesterday new tv spots for the films were added to the youtube channel... here KALDKLAHDKAHDKHADLA! 1 month!
(I'm going to cry rivers with these films, specially with the 2º part xDD)

I'm totally a sucker for supernatural stuff shows/books/stuff xD So decided to try it, specially that since lately everything supernatural is about vampires, a change would be good & I love Succubus since years ago...

2010.08.14 Mika Concert in Castrelos Park


I was in the second row meanwhile my sister was in the first row :) The concert was awesome, one of the best I went in my life, he was full of energy, giving it all, a perfect voice, talking all the time in Spanish, very theatrical & full of life.
The crowd had the time of our life, it was Mika biggest concert in Spain, in a place that is really beautiful, surrounded by 20.000 people (or that said local newspapers).
I met with an old friend I didn't see since ages ago & talked with other fans, I had a great time. Also my sister really enjoyed it a lot for which I'm really happy :)


Btw, the people on the stage with masks and costumes (that aren't the band) are fans. The 71 that arrived first to the concert were given numbers & we entered the concert before everybody else & Mika mother selected a few to go to the stage with him :) My sister was number 31, I was 64 ;)


Today I'm so fucking tired but it was worth it :D

Yesterday night I saw Clash of Titans.. I want my time back! :( I watched because I love Nicholas Hoult & Greek mythology but the film was boring/bad ;_;

I see a LOT of tv show but the ones that I maybe can't miss are True Blood, Criminal Minds, TBBT, NCIS, Cougar Town & The United States Of Tara (the last two, I saw them recently but I really liked them)

03. Name an actor who would make you more inclined to watch a show:
matthew gray gubler. joseph gordon levitt if he decided to go back to tv, courtney cox...
But most of the actors that make inclined to watch something are film actors...

04. Name an actor who would make you less likely to watch a show:
I have this love/hate relationship with Christian Bale, in general I dislike him a lot & I stay away from him, unless it's Batman films, in which I really like him.
Benicio del Toro must be another one, great actor but for some reason I don't understand I dislike him XDDD
But neither of them did tv shows so far so I'm "safe" so far XDDD

05. Name a show you can and do quote from:
I don't normally quote shows or films, I get the whole idea but the exact quote never stays on my head XD Probably because I see things in original version and English isn't my mother language.

06. Name a show you like that no one else you know enjoys:
Cougar Town. actually everybody who watches it loves it but the problem is not much people give it a change (it might be the name, but I read they are going to change it for second season XD)
The show is awesome. So awesome that the day I watched it my mother came to my room to ask me why I've been laughing so much the whole day (she heard me from the living room).

You know, I've been in a pretty weird mood lately, the last months have being weird in so many ways, but you know, everything is forgotten, at least temporally, when you are with friends :)
For my bday I had to opportunity to meet with my friends, in different days & it felt good.  I tend to isolate myself but but I glad that from time to time I see my friends and they aren't tired of me... (yet? xDD)

On a totally different note, I started reading The Southern Vampires books (in which True Blood is based) & I was truly surprised by the humor on them, leaving aside the blood, sex, supernatural beings & mysteries, the novels have a touch of humor that I'm enjoying a lot.  I'm in the middle of book 4 & so far I like the books pretty much.
